Step 1

. Once you have filled out our questionnaire, we will be in contact with you to make a deposit and start our creation process!
Step 2
Once we have received your 50% deposit, we will then generate a customized Story Kit for the Storyteller.
The Story Kit contains all of the questions that we will ask the Storyteller, and includes blank areas that can be filled in with questions that are specific things we should ask the Storyteller. An example of one of these questions, is that if your Storyteller was known for keeping a garden, you might suggest that we ask specifically about gardening in order to get those wonderful stories on video!
Another very important task at this step is for the client to organize and gather any and all pictures! Electronic pictures are of course the easiest to manage, but if all that is available are the original paper photos, we can scan them for you at no extra charge. Typically we gather the pictures at the time of filming so that we can organize them and have help identifying who is in the photos.
Step 3
Now that we have given you the questions for the Storyteller to review, we will schedule a time, usually 1-2 hours depending on the package purchased, to come on site to visit with the Storyteller. We will take as much time is needed in order to get everything captured that the Storyteller wishes to share. Where we film is completely up to the client, but we recommend the Storyteller’s home where they are most comfortable, and it adds a very familiar backdrop for their video.
Step 4
Once we have captured your Storyteller, we take all of the footage of the Story, the location, and the photographs and begin our editing process. We ask to allow for 4-6 weeks for the final product, but usually we are done much sooner. We will set the footage to music, interweave the photographs, and make a touching tribute to your Storyteller! The very first version that you will see is a digital version. You will get 1 free revision.
Step 5
When you are 100% happy with the video and we have received the final 50% payment, we will provide you with the physical copies of the video if they were part of your package. You will also be able to download a digital version of the video. We will upload the video onto YouTube with your permission, and we will sign a copyright release to you as well so that you can do anything you wish with the video.
